Another super trip out to Dartmoor.
Tourquay's best Fish and Chips Cafes - Rockfish.
A happy looking group on their tour of the lovely seaside town of Shaldon
Coasteering with TIS is on eof Dan's really exciting activities.
Mmmmmm nothing beats yummy fish & chips with Francesca! Some students from our mini-group 30+ course joined in the fun yesterday at Rockfish.
Cheers everyone! We had a great time trying local wines and cheeses at Sharpham Vineyard
A few photos from last week's activities, including a trip to the boat building yard at Galmpton, Elberry Cove near Churston and Dartington Hall.
This week, our students visited the Churston Court Pub for an evening of socalising and practicing English!
Did you know... the pub is in a 900 year old building, which include suits of armour, and is said to be haunted by the ghost of a monk!
On Monday, our students went Boat Fishing around Torquay! They caught enough fish for a week!
Our trip last Saturday went to one of the most-visited cities in the UK, and the smallest city in the UK. Can you guess where we went?
It was built by Isaac Merritt Singer (who helped invent the modern sewing machine) in the 1870s and based on the famous Palace of Versailles! Next time you're in Torquay, it's very much worth a visit!
Yesterday, our students visited Stoke Gabriel, a beautiful village that contains a 1000 year old tree! They strolled around the village and then spent the evening in a very homely pub indeed!
Last Friday, our students visited the Sloping Deck Restaurant in Dartmouth, and yes, the floor is sloping! But they managed to stay on their feet and enjoy the food!
A few weeks ago JP took students for a walk along the coast path near Maidencombe and Watcome, two lovely villages between Torquay and Shaldon. The weather was lovely and we finished the day with a Devon Cream Tea - what could be better
Last night we all spent the evening at TIS trying tasty treats from around the world! Thanks to everyone who cooked or brought food.
